Advisory services division

Our Advisory Services Division (ASD) offering is targeted at local, regional and international renewable energy developers seeking the right blend of global thinking and local action for their utility-scale, grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects.

ASD supports the customer’s team in most pre-construction duties:

ASD also supports the customer’s team in the construction, operations and maintenance phases as follows:

  • Drafting of EPC and O&M agreements
  • Compliance with performance standards

Engineering services division (EPC, O&M)

Our Engineering Services Division (ESD) focuses on planning, building (EPC) and operating (O&M) grid-connected solar photovoltaic facilities. We offer turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) services that guarantee execution excellence in the most demanding project environments.

ESD constructs solar PV facilities following a rigorous turnkey engineering / procurement / construction contracting approach (EPC):

  • Detailed design & engineering
    • Select the adequate technology for modules and inverters; Specify the optimized detailed design of site layout, AC electrical system, DC electrical system, and surrounding infrastructure (site security systems, control building, mounting structures, access roads, etc.); Choose the most suitable SCADA implementation (real-time fault detection, forecasting of energy production, etc.).
  • Construction of solar PV plants
    • Construct the solar PV plant to the level of quality specified in the turnkey EPC agreement.
  • Manage environmental impact
    • Manage environmental impact; Protect health and safety of workers and local communities.
  • Testing & commissioning
    • Perform visual, pre- and post-grid connection acceptance tests to validate construction results against expected performance agreement.

ESD also supports the customer’s team in the operations and maintenance phase through a performance-based Operations & maintenance contracting approach (O&M):

  • Scheduled maintenance
    • Clean photovoltaic modules; Inspect all critical components of the solar PV plant (mounting structures, module connection, inverters, junction / string combiner boxes, thermographic inspection, vegetation, etc.); Routine reporting of maintenance activities; etc.
  • Responsive unscheduled maintenance
    • Repair any equipment damaged for unexpected reasons (faulty mounting structures, loosened cable connections, damaged fuses, consequences of lightning, consequences of cleaning, damage caused by intruders, etc.); Remediate SCADA-detected faults; etc.
